Updated information on AI testing in our schools.
As I told many of you, I am back again with new UPDATED information on the Artificial Intelligence. As I perused the internet, I found out that we are already testing AI in schools. Apparently AI was given the green light to be test against 8th grade tests. On the very first try the technology failed, but on the second try (A few months later), the AI technology was able to pass the test. This would mean that the technology actually LEARNED how to pass the test.
Is this the first step towards allowing the AI technology into our educational systems?

Tony,
ReplyDeleteInteresting read. Judgement day is coming. It is amazing what AI is doing right now. Being able to understand different languages and logic in humans decision making is amazing. I wonder how AI is going to be used for education?
Thanks for the post.
I agree. Life as we know it will take a drastic turn as this technology improves.
DeleteAntonio,
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting. I did my white paper at USASMA on AI. It is both fascinating and terrifying to me. Have you seen the article about the Facebook chatbots creating their own language?

Tony,
ReplyDeleteGreat post, AI is a very interesting topic and it has been in the news a lot lately. After all the Sci-Fi movies I have seen I kind of assumed that true AI was just around the corner but after doing a little research on the topic it would appear that true AI, that is AI that can think like a human, is still quite a way off. According the Encyclopedia Britannica, “At the present time even an embodied system displaying the overall intelligence of a cockroach is proving elusive, let alone a system that can rival a human being” (Copeland, 2019). Although AI may not be able to think like a human today, I think it is just a matter of time before it can. Looking forward to reading more posts in the future.

Orange,
DeleteAs I read your post, I actually began to research current uses of AI today. I will be posting it next on my blog for you to read.
Dear Tony,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your post.
At present, artificial intelligence has begun used in the field of manufacturing, service, retail, medical and health industries. And it seems to be undergoing tremendous progress in the field of education.
Many people are worried that artificial intelligence will replace human beings, but I think artificial intelligence is to make human beings more intelligent and even promote educational innovation. It makes children receive more humanized and more interesting education, which can help children prepare for the future.

Tang,
DeleteThank you for stopping by to read my post. Artificial Intelligence is actually doing more than we know!! It has been used all around us without us actually knowing what it actually is>>>>> Crazy how it is evolving so quickly
Tony,
ReplyDeleteI watched a show on AI a few nights ago. This was unique because it combined immersive interactive technology with AI scenario generation. In other words, the immersive environment changes to meet the AI's perception of what you need to see. Check out Xploration Earth 2050, Exploring the New World of Artificial Intelli…

Although the series is a little dated, I did see this type of technology being used at Fort Sam Houston's National Intrepid Center. The mission of this center is to evaluate, plan treatment, educate, and rehab Soldiers with mTBI, serious injuries, and traumatic psychological health issues.

Matthew,
